Conflict-loving indie folk mainstay Mark Kozelek recently shared "The Possum" via his Sun Kil Moon moniker. The track arrives digitally next week, but it'll also be released on vinyl early next year.
The song, which is a nine-minute jam that name-drops Godflesh and features Sonic Youth's Steve Shelley on drums, will form the A-side of the release. And while he didn't pick any specific fights with the track, that may not be the case with its B-side. As Stereogum reports, the release's other track is called "Cry Me a River Williamsburg Sleeve Tattoo Blues."
"The Possum" will be released digitally on December 1 through Kozelek's Caldo Verde label, and can already be streamed below.
Then, in April, the 10-inch edition of the EP will arrive via Caldo Verde and Cameron Crowe's Vinyl Films label.
