Long Island death metal devastators Suffocation recently served up their seventh full-length LP Pinnacle of Bedlam, which Exclaim! described as highlighting the veteran act's "iconic mix of technicality, crushing riffs and heavy groove slams." Now, the group will take their punishing new tunes out on the road for their upcoming "Despise the World" tour.
The New York group announced that their headlining North American trip kicks off this April and will feature support from fellow metalheads Exhumed, Jungle Rot, Rings of Saturn and Adimiron. San Diego deathcore crew Lord of War will also play select West Coast concerts. While the bulk of the dates will brutalize U.S. crowds, there are Canadian shows lined up in Montreal and Toronto. As previously reported, Pinnacle of Bedlam found drummer Dave Culross (Malevolent Creation) bringing his "intense precision and speed" back to Suffocation for the first time since 1998's Despise the Sun.
