"Changes" (video) (NSFW)

BY Josiah HughesPublished Mar 30, 2011

Last summer, Canadian indie rock vets Stars returned with The Five Ghosts, a release we described as "a near-perfect indie pop album." To keep the momentum rolling, the group have issued "Changes" as their next single, complete with a NSFW video.

The clip, which you can watch below, was directed by Jaron Albertin (Emily Haines, Death From Above 1979, Cut Copy), and a press release explains that it's "Jaron's interpretation of the song, an otherworldly imagination of good and evil in the world, and how it manifests itself in the individual." What that looks like is a young girl stripping down to her birthday suit and dancing through different rooms in Toronto's Elgin & Winter Garden Theatre.

A radio edit of "Changes" can also be streamed here or down below the video, while the single is available for purchase via iTunes here.

The Five Ghosts is out now on Soft Revolution in Canada.
