Indie slacker-punks Speedy Ortiz have been anything but slackers as of late, with the band recently booking an epic North American tour in support of their forthcoming record Foil Deer.
The band started their stretch of dates early this February by hitting the Great White North for a one-off show in Toronto presented by Red Bull Sound Select as part of the 15th anniversary of the Wavelength Music Festival. Exclaim! TV got in on the action by capturing a performance of their recently teased album cut "Raising the Skate," which was performed in front of a lively crowd at The Garrison on February 12.
In this live performance, vocalist Sadie Dupuis backs up her proclamation of being "the boss" by slinging grimy, technical riffs and powering through the track alongside her band, all while maintaining an engaging stage presence.
