Say it ain't so. Long-running, Toronto-based, all-female Weezer tribute band Sheezer have decided to disband after six years of delivering the nostalgia-inducing tunes of The Blue Album and Pinkerton — and the occasional cover of "Hash Pipe" — at home and across Canada.

It is with bittersweet feelings that the ladies of Sheezer announce that, after six great years, it's time to hang up their spurs and ride off into the sunset (not necessarily in that order).
What began as a fun "what if?" project between a group of close friends has since a grown to a nationally celebrated outfit. The enthusiastic reception Sheezer received right from the get-go never let up, and it's been year after year of the most fun, sweaty, sing-along shows ever, here in Toronto and all across Canada. Their Halloween shows will live on as the stuff of legends. They leave behind the world's most excellent fans and have hopefully inspired a musician or two along the way.
While Sheezer may be no more, each member will continue to pursue music. Robin Hatch currently plays in Our Lady Peace and Dwayne Gretzky, Alysha Haugen in By Divine Right, Laura Barrett is continuing with her solo career and doing soundtrack work, and Dana Snell will keep playing with the Bicycles.
For anyone hoping to take in one last Sheezer show — you're in luck. The band will be playing a final send-off at Lee's Palace on August 7 with Army Girls. It's being billed as "a last chance opportunity to celebrate the band's fantastic run, party the night away, and sing along to all your favourite Weezer songs."
