Shad Sets Release Date for 'Flying Colours,' Releases New Single

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jul 30, 2013

Canadian rap charmer Shad has been dropping hints about his upcoming Flying Colours LP over the last few months, and now we've finally got a release date we can mark down in our calendars: October 15.

This date was revealed with a simple post on Shad's social media sites and later confirmed via a press release. This follows Shad's prior teaser video, which featured an image of what appears to be the album cover, although Shad's website currently features a far more plain black-and-white design (this might simply be a placeholder image).

UPDATE: You can see the final album art above.

Today (July 30), Shad dropped the first single from the album, which will be released via Black Box. It's called "Stylin," and it features Saukrates. It sports an old-school-sounding beat, heavy synth riffs, a smooth-sung chorus and Shad's usual quick-witted, good-natured rhymes. It's available to purchase on iTunes and can see the newly revealed video for the track below.

As previously reported, Shad will be touring Canada in the coming months. See his schedule below.
