Scott Walker to Score New Robert Pattinson Film

The truly unique outsider artist Scott Walker has already had a busy year, what with his forthcoming Sunn O))) collaboration Soused. That said, the artist is already looking to the future with plans to score a new film.

As Pitchfork reports [via ScreenDaily], Walker has been tapped to score The Childhood of a Leader, a new film that also serves as the directorial debut from Melancholia actor Brady Corbet.

The Childhood of a Leader is set to star Twilight heartthrob (and FKA twigs' boyfriend) Robert Pattinson alongside Nymphomaniac's Stacy Martin, Reservoir Dogs' Tim Roth and The Artist's Bérénice Bejo.

Here's a synopsis of the film from ScreenDaily:

It tells the story of a young American living in France in 1918 whose father is working for the US government on the creation of the Treaty of Versailles. What he witnesses helps mould his beliefs and the film bears witness to the birth of a terrifying ego.

While it's unclear when we'll get to hear Walker's score, we'll have Soused to keep us occupied for a while. The album arrives on October 21 via 4AD. A trailer for the release is available below.
