Vancouver's Savannah Leigh Wellman of Redbird ditched her folksy roots a while back and took a turn towards the rock, embracing an artistic reinvention as SAVVIE. She dropped her debut album under the new moniker earlier this year, releasing Night Eyes back in February; now a track from that album has been given the remix treatment, and Exclaim! has got your first listen.
Album opener "Break You In" established the singer's foray into sexier, grittier rock'n'roll, but now fellow Vancouver music makers Humans have put a further spin on the tune. The electro-tinged two-piece add their own synthed-out sparkle to the song, marking another new direction for SAVVIE's sound.
