Even as festival goers arrived for day two of Rock the Shores, there was still talk of the screw-ups and disappointments of the previous year's debut. But while festival organizers could be blamed for the first year's long line-ups and beer garden mayhem, one thing they couldn't predict was the weather, which cut Montreal's Sam Roberts Band's set short. And what did organizers do to remedy that problem? They invited Sam and the Band back this year to do it all over again to finish the set they started the year before.

Like many of the bands booked to play the festival, the Sam Roberts Band's set was full of songs from their award-winning career that had virtually everyone in the crowd singing along at some point. From "Brother Down" to "Where Have all the Good People Gone" the band continued the weekend's nostalgic feel but also included songs from his new album, expected out in the fall.

The Sam Roberts Band did what they aimed to do when they got on the stage — they finished the set they started the year before. And it was a clean, fun and enthusiastic set, which took you back to 2000 when the Sam Roberts Band began.
