Way back in 2002, Ryan Adams made his debut on the Late Show with David Letterman by performing the Demolition track "Starting to Hurt." And as Letterman counts down to his final show, Adams came back to once again play the same song.
The track emphasized Adams' rock leanings (rather than his country inclinations) and featured muscular electric riffs and whirling organ along with a particularly strong vocal performance from the frontman. The stage, meanwhile, was decorated with comically oversized amps and arcade machines.
