The Rural Alberta Advantage Sign with Saddle Creek
The currently Toronto-based indie pop trio are certainly still obsessed with where they grew up. The tracklisting of their new album is perfect proof, featuring titles like "Edmonton," "Frank, AB" and "The Dethbridge in Lethbridge." As their MySpace page states, "they sing about summers in the Rockies and winters on the farm, ice breakups in the spring time and the oil boom's charm, the mine workers on compressed, the equally depressed, the city's slow growth and the country's wild rose, but mostly the songs just try to embrace the advantage of growing up in Alberta."
The band will be making some stops in their favourite province, along with the rest of Canada, on their summer tour this June.
1. "The Ballad of The RAA"
2. "Rush Apart"
3. "The Dethbridge in Lethbridge"
4. "Don't Haunt this Place"
5. "The Deadroads"
6. "Drain the Blood"
