The Rural Alberta Advantage

"Vulcan, AB" (video)

BY Alex HudsonPublished Nov 13, 2014

The Rural Alberta Advantage's song "Vulcan, AB" isn't about Star Trek. Rather, it's named after an actual town in Alberta, and that's exactly where the group went to film the song's music video.

The clip is a scratchy, Super 8-style retro affair. As accompaniment to the percussively jittery ballad from Mended with Gold, we watch the band loiter around town on a sunny day. Funnily enough, the town has a number of Star Trek-themed attractions, and the band hang out in front of a massive mural, visit the Vulcan Tourism & Trek Station museum, and pose with a bust of Spock.

Scroll past the band's tour schedule to watch it.
