Run with the Kittens to Perform 10 Sets in One Night for Toronto Anniversary Show

BY Alex HudsonPublished Nov 11, 2013

As of 2013, eclectic Toronto genre-benders Run with the Kittens have maintained a residency at the Cameron House for 10 years, and they're celebrating the milestone with an ambitious stunt: on December 3, they will be performing 10 separate sets.

Here's the truly crazy part: across these 10 sets at the Cameron House, the four-piece of Nate Mills, Champagne James Robertson, Nigel Hebblewhite and Jake Oelrichs promise to play no repeated songs. How they're possible going to learn that much material is a mystery to us, but they've released five full-lengths, so that's a start.

The show will run from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. There will be no tickets sold for the event and admission will be by donation. All proceeds will go to the Regent Park School of Music, a local non-profit which aims to provide affordable music education to youngsters in need.

The night will also serve as a goodbye show for guitarist Champagne James Robertson, who will be leaving the band and moving to Tennessee to pursue his music career.

The band have a few other Ontario gigs coming up in Ontario. See the schedule below.
