Atlanta hard rock outfit Royal Thunder are putting a twist on some of the tracks from their jammy 2012 LP CVI on the acoustic freelease CVI: A.
The three-song release was recorded this past January and recasts tracks from their debut album in an unplugged setting. Opener "Parsonz Curse," for instance, jettisons the overdriven Sabbath-styled gloom for a just as eerie goth-country arrangement, replete with boot-spurs percussion clinks. Singer Miny Parsonz's bluesy croon, meanwhile, remains just as powerful as when competing with group's generally cranked stacks.
You can check out the rest of the EP down below.
Royal Thunder are hitting the road with Baroness this summer and will play Toronto's Mod Club on August 9 and Vancouver's Venue on September 4. You can get the rest of the show details over here.
