Rose Windows

"There Is a Light"

Nearly a year on from the release of The Sun Dogs, folk-styled Seattle combo Rose Windows are ready to release another record with Sub Pop. A two-song single is due to drop June 10, but you can hear A-side "There Is a Light" a month ahead of time.

A press release explains that the cut was cast just as the band were wrapping up sessions for The Sun Dogs and is now ready to be enjoyed digitally or on 7-inch vinyl. A tender, rootsy duet threads itself throughout the track, which builds itself up slowly via an illuminating arrangement of fawning flute work, spacious, distortion dusted guitar chords, rumbling toms and an awe-inducing gospel organ.

You can stream the song in the player down below courtesy of Consequence of Sound, with the apparently Curtis Mayfield-inspired flipside "Fix Me Another One" ready to be heard no later than June 10.
