Last year Winnipeg-based blues musician Romi Mayes delivered her fifth full-length Lucky Tonight. Just in case you thought the album might be about a particularly awesome stretch at the craps table, the guitarist/vocalist has come through with a one-night stand-celebrating new video to clear things up.
Following a back-and-forth at a greasy spoon between Mayes and her back-up guitarist Jay Nowicki, the clip backtracks to the two gigging and drunkenly picking up their respective flings at the bar post-performance. Beers are pounded, kisses are stolen, records are spun back home, and the whole thing gets capped with an uncomfortable morning-after scenario.
