The world of Swedish pop has suffered a loss, as producer Christian Falk has passed away following his battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 52.

Falk had been diagnosed with the disease in February of this year, according to Aftonbladet. Former collaborator Neneh Cherry was among those to confirm his death. Today (July 24), she tweeted a photo of the two of them together with the message "#christianfalk may he rest in peace." Born in 1962 in Stockholm, Falk was a former member of bands like Imperiet and Timebomb. He later went solo, and his 1999 album Quel Bordel featured guest appearances from Robyn and Neneh Cherry. Robyn also appeared on his 2006 album People Say, and sung on that album's hit "Dream On." Falk won three Swedish Grammys in his career.
