As if the anticipation for Spike Jonze's amazing-looking Where the Wild Things Are adaptation wasn't enough, the film will be getting an amazing-looking soundtrack, courtesy of Yeah Yeah Yeahs leader Karen O. Performing as Karen O and the Kids, she's lined up quite the list of collaborators as well.

While we don't quite have a tracklisting yet, we do know that the soundtrack will feature contributions from O's fellow YYYs Brian Chase and Nick Zinner, as well as Services' Tristan Bechet, Deerhunter/Atlas Sound's Bradford Cox, Queens of the Stone Age's Dean Fertita, Liars' Aaron Hemphill,tThe Bird and the Bee's Greg Kurstin, the Dead Weather/Raconteurs' Jack Lawrence, Gris Gris' Oscar Michel, and YYY collaborator/solo artist Imaad Wasif.

In an interview with MTV UK, Karen O explained that her involvement in the film stems from her friendship with Jonze. "I got involved because of Spike... I guess there is a childlike innocence about my music or my persona that he always just kind of dialed into. To play on it and it was a really amazing experience and I think what he has accomplished with the film is basically the impossible. There's a lot of stuff that they told me Spike couldn't do that he did it anyway and it was a really inspiring and exciting thing to be a part of."

The Where The Wild Things Are soundtrack will be in stores on September 29 via DGC/Interscope, with lead single "All is Love" dropping on August 25.
