Raging Reunion

Blabbermouth.net reports that last Saturday (April 14) two halves of Rage Against the Machine - guitarist Tom Morello and vocalist Zack De La Rocha - performed individual sets in Chicago, and then converged for a special onstage collaboration that gave spectators a taste of what’s to come from their scheduled reunion gig at Coachella next weekend.

Originally the two were appearing at a demonstration and rally for the Coalition of Immokalee Workers, an organisation of immigrant farm workers that sell vegetables to businesses like McDonald’s. The meeting ended due to bad weather and a quick resolve by a McDonald’s rep sent it indoors to the House of Blues venue. Morello came out alone and played numerous songs from his upcoming CD One Man Revolution. Shortly after, De La Rocha performed a new song about the event itself, which he crafted on his flight to the rally.

De La Rocha was then joined by Morello on stage and the two performed a selection of Rage Against the Machine songs: "People of the Sun,” "Bulls on Parade” and "Down Rodeo”.
