Queens, NY-based rock'n'roll trio Raccoon Fighter are set to unleash their latest EP Spiral Flag tomorrow, but before it arrives, Exclaim! has got the exclusive premiere of "I'm So Proud."
The gritty tune delivers an infectious, steady backbeat, buzzing guitars and bluesy, distorted lead vocals buoyed by hazy harmonies. The rest of Spiral Flag promises more of the same, with a press release describing the upcoming offering as five songs of "sweat, drugs and fuzzed-out glam-rock."
The new EP was recorded on a 4-track cassette recorder above drummer Zac Ciancaglini's parents' garage. It marks the follow-up to the band's 2013 full-length effort Zil, and hears them once again teaming up with producer Brian Thorn on mixing duties.
