Quicksand Deliver Vinyl Repress of 'Manic Compression'

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jan 16, 2013

Nineties post-hardcore greats Quicksand are currently out on the road for a reunion tour, which supports a recent vinyl re-release of their debut disc Slip. Shortly after those dates wrap, though, the band will offer up a repress of their follow-up LP, Manic Compression.

A press release confirms that the band have teamed up with SRC Vinyl for a limited pressing of the sophomore set, which will arrive on February 26.

The album was originally issued back in 1995. It was Quicksand's most successful, having peaked at 135 on the Billboard 200 chart. You can peep the video for album cut "Delusional" down below.

The reissue is being delivered on four different colours of vinyl, with 500 copies being pressed on green/black, red/black, and army green, with another 250 on red wax. The set will also be presented in a gatefold jacket and contain a 18x24 poster.

You can pre-order the reissue here.

Quicksand still have some shows to get through before the end of January, including a stop in Vancouver tomorrow night (January 17). You can see the dates down below and read our review of the group's Toronto appearance last week over here.
