Experimental Edmonton two-piece Pyramid//Indigo are nearly ready to release their self-titled debut EP, but Exclaim! is giving you an early listen to the three-song set before it arrives next week.
Combining a variety of influences that range from drone to electronic to ambient music, the duo deliver an intriguing blend of eerie, ethereal and experimental sounds. Moments of near-silence and samples from nature are countered with dark, emotive bursts of manipulated sound, taking the listener on a varied and intricately arranged sonic journey.
The band will celebrate the EP release with a hometown show at SPACE on August 14, where you can grab one of 20 limited edition cassettes. The cassette version of the EP also features tracks from other artists on that night's bill, including Caity Fisher & the Wastoids, Girl Walking and Private Investigators.
