Puscifer Announce DVD, Soundtrack and Archival Live Album

Puscifer isn't so much a band as it is Tool singer Maynard James Keenan's multifaceted art project, and the collective will share their unique vision with the new live DVD What Is…, due out November 26 via the outfit's own Puscifer Entertainment.

A press release describes the release as a "two-hour sketch comedy show-meets-concert film [that] builds upon and punctuates the multimedia format of the band's live performances." It features skits from characters like Billy D, Hildy and Major Douche, along with live music from Keenan and company.

A soundtrack will be released on the same day as the film. Keenan said in a statement, "Being surrounded by so many talented and creative people is an endless source of inspiration. This film only scratches the surface of how deep our proverbial rabbit hole goes. What Is... Puscifer is meant to conjure as many questions as it answers."

The DVD and soundtrack will quickly be followed on Black Friday (November 29) by a limited-edition live vinyl LP. Puscifer's 8-Ball Bail Bonds - The Berger Barns Live in Phoenix was recorded during the group's first tour in 2009. It contains nine songs pressed on red wax.

Finally, Puscifer are releasing the remix album All Re-Mixed Up next Tuesday (August 27). The whole thing is streaming over at Spin.
