Protest the Hero

"Mist" (video)

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Aug 5, 2014

Protest the Hero's Volition track "Mist" is dedicated to the good people of Newfoundland, so it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that a video for the track finds the genre-crossing metal/punk crew navigating scenic Maritimes locales.

The video starts up with a quick intro with the band, detailing how they grew to love the province and its punk fans, with the wily, somewhat Celtic-inspired whip-cracker kicking in to reveal shots of the band having idyllic picnics, kissing cods and playing the tune both by the docks and inside a packed pub. Judging by the lyrics, Protest the Hero are indeed "surrounded by friends and pints in god damned Newfoundland."
