A Porno Was Filmed at Amnesia Rockfest Using Attendees

The New Pornographers are regulars on the Canadian festival circuit. But actual real-life pornographers? Not so much. It's rather shocking to learn, therefore, that a porn movie was apparently filmed on the grounds of Montebello, QC's Amnesia Rockfest in 2014. What's more, a dozen festival attendees were recruited to appear in the film.

These concertgoers were approached by star Pamela Kayne and production company AD4X Videos. The company's president André de la Seine told CBC's Radio-Canada that the shooting happened on private land, so there was no need to ask permission. He also said that everyone who participated was a consensual adult who understood that it was for a film.

Festival head Alex Martel, however, isn't happy and said that the filmmakers took advantage of the festival's notoriety. He has consulted a lawyer because the festival is mentioned by name in the film.

In case you were wondering — the film is called Casting at the Rockfest (proceed with extreme caution if Googling that). No, we haven't watched it, but the folks at Metal Injection have, and they write that various scenes were shot in a bus, tent and winnebago, and appeared to be on the festival site.

Meanwhile, the 2015 instalment of Amnesia Rockfest will run from June 18 to 21. Performers include Linkin Park, System of a Down, Snoop Dogg, Pixies, Slayer, Deftones, the Offspring, Bad Religion and more. The organizers will apparently be on the lookout for any pornographic funny business.
