Philip Glass's 'Fantastic Four' Score Treated to Soundtrack Release

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jul 10, 2015

Earlier this year, we learned that, in addition to a fully rebooted origin story, the upcoming Fantastic Four flick would feature a score composed by neo-classical icon Philip Glass. With the superhero movie set to hit the screens August 7, it's now been revealed that a soundtrack release will be delivered a week later, on August 14. The collection lands through Sony Classical and features 25 pieces of music composed by Marco Beltrami (The Wolverine, World War Z) and Glass.

As previously reported, the reboot casts Miles Teller (Whiplash), Michael B. Jordan (The Wire), Kate Mara (House of Cards) and Jamie Bell (Billy Elliott) in the roles of Mr. Fantastic, the Human Torch, the Invisible Woman and the Thing, respectively. The Josh Trank-directed film is rumoured to be grittier than the Jessica Alba-starring films from the 2000s.
