UK indie rockers Palma Violets are set to follow up 2013's debut album 180 with a new full-length effort titled Danger in the Club.
The band's sophomore LP is slated to arrive on May 5 through Rough Trade.
Palma Violets recruited producer John Leckie (Stone Roses, Radiohead, the Fall) for the new material, which was recorded at Rockfield Studio in Wales.
They've been testing out the new material at raucous live shows recently, but the recordings really showcase how the group have grown creatively. According to a press release, they've "developed into first class songwriters and honed their own unique sound."
"We wanted to make a young-sounding record," said bassist/singer Chilli Jesson. "We listened to a lot of pre-punk while we were making the album. We like its rawness and simplicity. A lot of bands want to over-complicate their second album, we know that we didn't."
