The Pack A.D. Sign to Nettwerk Records Ahead of New Album
Vancouver's Pack A.D. have previously released four albums through Mint Records, but now the garage duo have left the label for Nettwerk Records ahead of their fifth LP.

The band previously confirmed that they are once again teaming up with producer Jim Diamond (the White Stripes, the Dirtbombs), who helmed 2011's Unpersons. Although the details of that forthcoming release have yet to be confirmed, an announcement from Nettwerk hints that more news will arrive in the coming months.

In a statement, drummer Maya Miler quoted pioneering rapper Kool Moe Dee's "I Go to Work" and said, "To say rock is not work, is ludicrous. Whoever said it, must be new to this. When you hear me, you'll compare me to a prophet for profit. Not merely putting words together for recreation, each rhyme's a dissertation. You wanna know my occupation? I get paid to rock the nation. I go to work."

Nettwerk exec Ric Arboit added, "I've watched the Pack's rise with great interest these last five years. Last November, I headed to their homecoming show and, being a jaded industry weasel, I stood at the back of the venue. Within minutes, without even thinking about it, I found myself two rows from the stage where I was subjected to a blistering assault of rawk and roll. Becky [Black, guitar/vocals] and Maya have fine-tuned their craft with considerable touring in both North America and abroad; they are monsters on stage. We are excited about their new release."

In signing with Nettwerk, the Pack A.D. join recent label additions like Current Swell and Joshua Hyslop.
