Four saxophones and drums shouldn't have been this entertaining. But with elements of Klezmer, jazz, Afro-funk, and swing, Ouroboros proved to be one of Lawnya Vawnya's best kept secrets.

The local five-piece have the on-stage presence of the best parade ever. They exude joy without ever seeming caught up in the novelty of what they're doing. The musicians are top shelf and don't seem capable of fucking up.

"Talk Dirty" featured an on-point original rap by Susan Evoy. Greg Bruce, Chris Harnett, Nicole Hand, and Evoy play with obvious chemistry and drummer Andrew McCarthy is a jazz powerhouse. Their cover of Rage Against the Machine's "Killing in the Name Of" ruled. Just a ridiculously great and special combo.

Every music festival should bring Ouroboros to their patrons in the summertime. They're awesome and irresistible.
