Nü Sensae Confirm 'Sundowning' Release Date, Hint at Summer Tour

BY Gregory AdamsPublished May 4, 2012

Nü Sensae teased us a few months back with news that they were entering the studio to record their next LP, their first as a three-piece and their first full-length for Suicide Squeeze. It turns out that fans will get to grab the Vancouver scuzz-punks' latest this summer.

Discorder reports that the LP is called Sundowning, and it will hit retailers July 24. A tracklisting has yet to appear for the platter, but here's hoping that previously unheard songs "Swim" and "Spit Gifting," which Exclaim! TV captured live at the trio's Toronto gig last March, will show up on wax. You can catch both of those clips down below.

As previously reported, the LP was tracked in Vancouver by Josh Stevenson (Magneticring) last February, and will be the first record to feature Heavy Chains/Eating Out six-stringer Brody McKnight in the mix.

The band is playing a hometown show tonight (May 4) supporting Ty Segall at the Waldorf Hotel, and will also open for Best Coast at Vancouver's Commodore Ballroom on May 23. The band also has a West Coast tour in the works for June that'll have them appearing alongside Black Bananas and King Tuff, and they will also head out for a longer jaunt in August. Dates for those trips are TBA.

Tour Dates:

5/4 Vancouver, BC - Waldorf Hotel *
5/23 Vancouver, BC - Commodore Ballroom ^

* with Ty Segall, White Fence, Sex Church
^ with Best Coast
