Noel Gallagher Announces High Flying Birds North American Tour, Plays Toronto

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Aug 30, 2011

While it seems as if Noel Gallagher has been getting more attention these days for being sued by his brother and ex-Oasis bandmate Liam, we should all be focusing on the fact that the rocker is just about ready to deliver his first solo album, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. The promotion cycle is starting to roll out full force, with recently teased album tracks "The Death of You and Me" and "If I Had a Gun." Things are getting even more exciting now with the announcement of as brief North American tour this November.

A press release explains that while Gallagher kicks off the mini-trip with back-to-back nights at Toronto's Massey Hall, these are the only Canadian dates he'll be tackling this time around. You can check out the rest of the seven-show stretch below.

On top of the tour dates, Gallagher and co. will hit up Late Night with David Letterman on November 10.

The musician will no doubt be pumping his new tunes at the gigs, but a recent press conference confirmed he'll also be kicking out some old Oasis jams.

"I'm proud of them and of what they mean to people," he said of his Oasis classics. "I'll never do a gig without playing them. They're like drugs to me."

Seems like those songs will live forever, as it were.

As previously reported, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds comes out November 8 via Mercury and his own Sour Mash Imprint.
