No Joy

"Everything New" (video)

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Jun 9, 2015

Montreal shoegazers No Joy drop their brand new record More Faithful today (June 9), and to mark the occasion, they've offered up a new video for dreamy psych-pop cut "Everything New."

Filmed in Los Angeles, the video features cameos from indie rock royalty like members of Best Coast, Baths, King Tuff, Cold Showers, Soft Pack and Grooms. It opens with shots of litter strewn across the city before taking us back stage at a No Joy gig. After the show, the litter begins to revolt, morphing into a giant garbage monster that explodes into a swirl of Snickers wrappers and iMessages.

Things take a trippy turn, and we find the band in new sunshiney, selfie-worthy surroundings. Watch the whole story unfurl in the player below.

More Faithful is out now via Arts & Crafts in Canada and Mexican Summer internationally. Head over here to stream it.
