Want to Burn a Bunch of Calories? Go to a Music Festival

Looking to burn some calories to maintain a svelte bod this summer? Turns out your music festival bracelet could be just as valuable as the Fitbit on your wrist. According to a new study, music festivals are great for burning calories.

Tech company Withings investigated just how many calories attendees burned on average at this year's crop of British music festivals, and it turns out that you can get a decent workout at the events.

Over the course of a three-day music fest, the study determined that festivalgoers can burn up to 9,000 calories and walk more than 15 miles (24 kilometres) per person. Further, if you're sweating it up in the dancing area, you can burn an average of 400 to 700 calories per set. Strangely, the study did not take into account the effects of molly water or cigarettes on one's metabolism.

Glastonbury was determined the best festival for burning calories, with 3,400 calories burnt a day per person.

Via Metro, the full list of results are available below, though we wish someone would do this for Canadian festivals.
