There's no question of the ongoing influence and legacy of late Factory Records founder and party promoter Tony Wilson, who passed away in August of 2007. As such, a wide array of musicians and celebrities have paid tribute to him with a new single.
The song is called "St. Anthony: An Ode to Anthony H Wilson" and was recorded by Mike Garry and Joe Duddell. Its video features appearances from New Order, Iggy Pop, Steve Coogan (who played Wilson in 24 Hour Party People), Shaun Ryder, Christopher Eccelstone, John Cooper Clarke and Terry Christian.
The video can be viewed below. It's also available as a digital download, CD or 12-inch release via Skinny Dog Records, a label founded by members of Elbow and I Am Kloot. The single also comes with a remix of the song from Andrew Weatherall.
