Neil Young Books Canadian Benefit Shows to Support Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation
There are four "Honor the Treaties" concerts, all in January. They will take place in Toronto, Winnipeg, Regina and Calgary. Diana Krall is also on the bill, and you can see the schedule below.
A press release explains, "A legal defense fund was set up to support the ACFN's legal challenges against oil companies and government that are obstructing their traditional lands and rights."
The money will go towards upholding 1899's Treaty 8 and helping the Athabasca Chipewya First Nation keep their traditional lands where they have lived for thousands of years.

Tickets for all four shows go on sale tomorrow (December 10).
Along with the upcoming Canadian concerts, Young will play four nights at New York's Carnegie Hall from January 6 to 10. Also, following a string of cancelled dates due to Crazy Horse guitarist Frank "Poncho" Sampedro's broken hand, Neil Young & Crazy Horse are set to play London's Hyde Park on July 12.
