Nap Eyes released their album Whine of the Mystic on Plastic Factory Records more than a year ago, but with the original run of 200 LPs sold out on the label's website, the Halifax garage pop band have now inked a new deal for a reissue of the record.
The Canadian pressing will be handled by You've Changed Records, while the U.S. edition will be on Paradise of Bachelors. The reissue will be out on July 10.
Nap Eyes are fronted by songwriter Nigel Chapman, with backing provided by Each Other's Brad Loughead (guitar) and Monomyth members Seamus Dalton (drums) and Josh Salter (bass).
A press release describes the album like this: "Recorded live to tape with no overdubs, it's equal parts shambling and sophisticated, with one eye on the dirt and one trained on the starry firmament, inhabiting a skewed world where songwriter, singer and rhythm guitarist Nigel Chapman's odes to NASA and the Earth's magnetic field coexist easily with songs about insomnia and drinking too much."
