Municipal Waste Get Set for 'The Fatal Feast'

It's been a while since Richmond, VA thrashers Municipal Waste delivered any new material, but the metalheads have just announced plans for their latest aural assault, titled The Fatal Feast.

A press release from the group explains that they have just wrapped up recording sessions for their fifth long-player, which follows 2009's "powerhouse of riffs, attitude and thunder," Massive Aggressive.

While it's expected that the new LP will follow their last album's motif, which steered clear of the party-metal scene they embraced early on in favour of a more intense sound, the album's guest-heavy roster hints that the band were living it up in the studio. Guests include Nuclear Assault guitarist/vocalist John Connelly, Zombi bass-and-synth-smith Steve Moore, and former Avail singer turned folk punk Tim Barry.

While neither a tracklisting nor a firm release date has been set for The Fatal Feast, Nuclear Blast is primed to drop the disc sometime next spring. The band also assure that they will be touring around the same time, that is unless the Apocalypse arrives.

"The Waste is really looking forward to providing you with the soundtrack to the end of the world in 2012," vocalist Tony Foresta said in a statement. "See you there!"
