Vancouver's Keys to the Streets program has been bringing music to the masses by stationing pianos at various locales across the city. The whole summer through, citizens have been hovering around the outdoor instruments to play a tune. This includes West Coast pop-rock outfit Mother Mother, who recently used one of the program's public pianos to run through a version of an unreleased track called "Worry."
The band's Ryan Guldemond and Jasmin Parkin managed to pick a perfect day for the performance, with the sun beaming on them as they tackled the track beneath Vancouver's Cambie Bridge. Parkin tickles the ivories gracefully, as Guldemond supports those notes with the strum of his acoustic guitar.
The song uses a musical analogy to reflect on a stuck-in-a-rut relationship, with the pair's harmonized lines noting the cyclical patterns of playing "the same three chords" over and over again. They conclude, or at least attempt to, with: "This happens time again/two lovers turn to friends/a story told that doesn't seem to end."
