Montreal's Sheer Agony Announce Debut 7-Inch

After they wowed us at last year's Halifax Pop Explosion, we've been waiting to see what would become of Montreal power pop outfit Sheer Agony. Thankfully, the group have finally hit the studio and prepared their debut vinyl offering.

The self-titled release features four tracks of the band's off-kilter guitar rock, as recorded by former Play Guitar members Jackson MacIntosh and Christian Simmons. Recorded to one-inch tape using a spring reverb unit from the Sonics' studio, the band's debut offering was born.

Sheer Agony will be released on seven inches of vinyl June 5 via Fixture Records. The EP can be pre-ordered here.

In addition to the new release, Sheer Agony have unveiled a brief batch of tour dates in Western Canada, including a stop at Sled Island. For their live shows, the group has acquired the talents of Silver Dapple member Markus Lake. A list of tour dates is available below.
