Moneen Members Announce Debut Album as Seas, Sign with Black Box and Share New Song

Chris "Hippy" Hughes, Erik Hughes and Peter Krpan all play in Moneen, but they also perform together as Seas along with guitarist Mike Bolt. This group have now signed a deal with Black Box and are readying their debut full-length. Fade Out into the Night is available on September 24.

The Toronto-based band are fronted by Chris Hughes, who reportedly spent much of last year making the album. That's the artwork above. Below, stream the album cut "Bloodworks," which matches dramatic vocals with thunderingly heavy rock.

Beyond that, not much information is available about Fade Out into the Night, but more will likely become apparent when the album goes up for pre-order on iTunes starting on August 27. Those who order a copy early will get an instant download of "Bloodworks."

Seas will open for mewithoutYou tonight (August 22) in Toronto at Lee's Palace. According to a tweet from Chris Hughes, they go on at 9 p.m. A Great Big Pile of Leave are also on the bill.
