Misery Signals' Original Lineup Reunites for 'Of Malice and the Magnum Heart' Anniversary Tour

Metalcore crew Misery Signals have gone through some personnel changes over the years, but the band are ready to go back in time by reuniting their Of Malice and the Magnum Heart-era lineup for a 10th anniversary tour behind their debut LP.

The band recently announced that the lineup of vocalist Jesse Zaraska, bassist Kyle Johnson, guitarists Ryan Morgan and Stu Ross, and drummer Branden Morgan are back together for the summer to head out on their "Malice X" tour. The eight-show trek kicks off at Vancouver's Biltmore Cabaret on August 13 and will also hit Canada for shows in Calgary, Edmonton and Toronto.

You'll find all of the trip details down below.

Misery Signals formed in 2002 out of Milwaukee outfit 7 Angels 7 Plagues and Edmonton's Compromise, and delivered their eponymous debut EP in 2003, which was partially inspired by the tragic car accident that claimed former Compromise members Jordan Wodehouse and Daniel Langlois. Of Malice and the Magnum Heart followed the next year, and was described by Exclaim! at the time as being full of "poignant, pounding melancholy and double bass-fuelled cochlear attacks."

"Malice was written and released at such a critical time in our lives as musicians," Johnson reflects in a press statement. "After the disbanding of 7 Angels 7 Plagues and the Compromise accident, there was a lot of emotion in the air in the Misery Signals camp. We were able to capture that raw emotion and create Of Malice and the Magnum Heart in response to those events. It's the single most important musical release of our lives. I'm thrilled to have an opportunity to shake up those old feelings once more, ten years later, with the very people who made it possible."
