Baltimore's grindcore/death metal group Misery Index finally crushed Toronto during their short "Part 1" North American tour, in support of the morbid 2014 LP The Killing Gods. After taking four years to produce this record, drummer Adam Jarvis met up with Exclaim! TV to talk more about the lengthy creative process behind the album for this episode of Aggressive Tendencies.

Intertwining with the album's exploration of the afterlife, Jarvis reveals the Evil Dead 2 inspiration behind the music video for "The Harrowing." He later mentions the band's aim to replicate mid-'90s heavy metal perfection on the record, and talks about the trickiness of mentally juggling songs with his other bands, Pig Destroyer and Asthma Castle. Lastly, he discusses how they got signed to their current record label, Season of Mist.
