Harmonizing L.A. folk duo the Milk Carton Kids had a landmark 2013, releasing their album The Ash & Clay through Anti- and hitting the road in support of that record. They won't be slowing down come 2014, since they've already laid out plans for a North American tour that will last most of the spring.
Following some scattered U.S. and European shows in February, the North American trek will begin in earnest in April. The band will spend more than two months on the road, hitting up a heap of U.S. cities, plus a number of Canadian locales like Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver. See the schedule below.
The Milk Carton Kids' website notes that their two shows in Durham, NC, will find the band collaborating with Joe Henry and Over the Rhine to record a live album of original material inspired by the classic American songbook.
