Miley Cyrus Invited Back to BC to Better Understand Wolf Cull

BY Josiah HughesPublished Oct 2, 2015

Last month, Miley Cyrus put her time, money and effort toward a cause she believed in by visiting British Columbia to raise awareness about the controversial wolf cull. Now, an MLA has invited her back to the province to help her further understand the issue.

Michelle Mungall, MLA for the Nelson-Creston region, invited Miley back to the region on Twitter:

She also shared a letter that she wrote to the artist. In it, she explained that while the wolf cull is controversial, she sees it as a necessity in order to protect the region's endangered caribou population.

"If we save the caribou's habitat, we save the wolves from any further thread of a cull," she wrote. "To help with the joint interests of these two beautiful species, I would like to an extend an opportunity to tour you through the South Selkirks guided by local biologists and experts."

The full letter can be viewed here. Miley Cyrus has not yet responded to the invite, though it's certainly a much more diplomatic move on Mungall's part than Christy Clark's recent gross comments to the singer.
