Members of Slowdive, Mogwai, Editors Team Up as Minor Victories

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Jul 14, 2015

Some of the UK's indie rock elite have forged a new supergroup, launching a project under the name Minor Victories.

The new collaborative band features Slowdive's Rachel Goswell, Mogwai's Stuart Braithwaite, Editors' Justin Lockey, and his filmmaking, bass-playing brother James Lockey.

The four-piece recently unveiled a Facebook page featuring the mysterious image pictured above, though no details of an upcoming release have been officially announced.

As Pitchfork reports, the band are working on a new album that will feature a collaboration with Mark Kozelek.

The music website also shared a statement from Lockey, which reads:

So there's a record (like a real long player from back in the day) being made, a band being formed, noise being traded, analogies thrown around between Rachel Goswell (Slowdive) Justin Lockey (Editors) Stuart Braithwaite (Mogwai) James Lockey (handheldcineclub). There's some other people involved too but more on that later... For the time being, it's sounding fucking class.

As we await further details, relive Slowdive's "Crazy for You" in the player below.
