Iconic sludge-slingers the Melvins are soon to be showcased in a documentary called The Colossus of Destiny: A Melvins Tale. Filmmakers are currently trying to secure more funds to put the whole thing together, but they've got a brand new trailer showing off all of the awesomeness we can expect further down the line.
Down below, you'll find interview clips with the group, as well as friends like Jesus Lizard frontman David Yow, who relates his first impression of the Melvins as feeling as if he were flattened by a truck. Elsewhere, Mudhoney's Mark Arm and Soundgarden's Chris Cornell lay praise on the band. Also appearing in the film will be JG "Foetus" Thirlwell, Babes in Toyland's Lori Barbero, Red Kross/OFF! member Steve McDonald, Lou Barlow and more.
A Kickstarter campaign is currently underway, with goals to raise $75,000 US before April 8. Pledgers can pick up incentives including limited shirts, exclusive prints, production credits and more. You'll find out more about the fundraiser here.
