Meek Mill Delays 'Dreams and Nightmares' Release Until October

Ever since Maybach Music Group member Meek Mill crashed the DatPiff site when his Dreamchasers 2 dropped last May, the rap game has been patiently awaiting the release of the rapper's proper full-length debut Dreams and Nightmares. But just two weeks before its anticipated August 28 street date, the album has now been pushed back and is now expected to drop October 30.

The news came from Mill himself via a tweet that simply states, "'Dreams & Nightmares' instores Oct. 30 !!! Eve of Halloween !!!"

Despite the delay, U.S. fans will probably get a good idea of what to expect on Mill's Dreams and Nightmares headlining tour, which runs from now until early September. You can check the dates here.

Mill didn't explicitly state why the record got pushed, but it sounds as if he's grooming the LP to be a classic.

"A lot of people been shying away from the real rapping and hip-hop. I'm really representing," he had previously told WiLD 94.9 [via Rap Up]. "When I come out with my album, I want to have a classic album, an Illmatic, a Hard Knock LifeGet Rich or Die Tryin'-type of hip-hop album."

Those are some pretty landmark albums he's hoping to go blow for blow with, and we'll see if the dude stacks up to the competition come October 30. In the meantime, we'll keep peeping the still-fresh video for the Drake and Jeremih-assisted Dreamchasers 2 cut "Amen."
