Vancouver-based roots rockers the Matinee are currently in the studio prepping the follow-up to their 2013 Light Organ debut We Swore We'd See the Sunrise, but before the details of the upcoming record arrive, the band have shared a video for "Call of the Wild."
The track was released as a single late last year but has now been given some accompanying visuals. As you may have guessed from the title, the clip takes the band into the great outdoors — after downing some scary-looking moonshine, of course.
The questionable shots transform the guys into cavemen and transport them into a virtual hunting videogame world. The surreal surroundings are juxtaposed with some performance footage from the band in the more familiar setting of a local bar.
