Atlanta metal dudes Mastodon are no strangers to extreme music, but their guitarist Brent Hinds will soon make a mark on the movie world as well. The bearded shredder has been cast as former Jackass star Ryan Dunn in a new film from prankster and skateboarder Bam Margera. Dunn passed away in 2011 from a car accident.
As Loudwire reports, Hinds played the role of Dunn in Margera's new film I Needed Time to Stay Useless. The film appears to be a mix of Jackass-style stunts and scripted material, and may or may not take its title from the Cloud Nothings song "Stay Useless."
In a video interview (available below), Margera announced the collaboration, saying, "He just did the movie I Needed Time to Stay Useless. He's playing Ryan Dunn and he did an awesome fucking job."
