Brandon Valdivia's musical journey tracks many trails: from free improvisation to indie rock, jazz to tribal. This particular entity springs from the latter in a solo work that has its feet in a well-conceived and -performed marriage of electroacoustic and acoustic sounds.

The focus of this highly rhythmic, chant-based music is exemplified by "Working Everyday" and "If the World." Valdivia enjoins us to look at ourselves and our place in the world and question them, the music a vessel for the questions that asks the feet to help the mind in working out an answer to.

This release, while definitely a product of 21st century studio tech, succeeds in anchoring itself and the listener in a more primal and body-centric place.
